Everyone knows how difficult it is to put a Crusader on the center stand, especially when it is old and worn out. Other Enfields built in Redditch and the India Bullets until about 1980 have a similar awkward centerstand.
I had an old 1996 Bullet 500 side stand that I thought could be used with minimal tweaks.
The top hole had to be drilled out so that the frame bolt could go through. Then the side stand was mounted in the correct position and the bottom hole was drilled through the engine plate behind it. With a new bolt through the bottom hole it was fitted to the engine plate.
The side stand was ready to use and as you can view in the pictures it worked perfectly.
